There are some people who focus on one thing and then there are those who can do it all.
Meet Clearissa. She does it all!
Not only is she an organizer but also takes on DIY projects including upcycling.
What I love most about her story is that she has taken her talents and turned them into a money-making AND money-saving machine.
Clearissa will share the secret of living large on a small budget.

What hobby are you good at?
I am an organizer/redesigner/DIYer/Upcycler
How long have you been doing it and why did you start? What got you interested?
I have been an organizer all my life.
It is part of my DNA.
I began when I lived at home with my folks.
I would change my closet and room around almost weekly searching for organization.
And once married, my home became my canvas.
I have always been the go-to person for friends and family as well for redesigning and organization.
What are the benefits for you? What do you get out of it? Why is this your passion?
The benefits are that I have learned to live well on a budget.
I have always wanted a cozy, clean and organized home and I have learned to accomplish that at all budget points.
When we were young with little money and as our income increased, I found there was no need to switch gears.
You can live large on a small budget.
It just takes patience and organization.
I get satisfaction when I have revamped or organized a space in my home or a client’s home or office.
It’s a sense of achievement like no other for me.
Again, it’s my passion because it is ingrained into the fiber of who I am.
How did you get good at it?
I got good at it by doing it.
Also, I try to stay informed of new gadgets and ideas to make life easier, prettier, and more organized.
What advice would you give to beginners? What shortcuts or secrets can you share?
Never allow a space to intimidate you.
If the job is too big, take it on in small portions.
Do not allow clutter, yours or someone else’s, to control you.
If you take on a project in small doses, you will be surprised how successful you will be.
Are you a member of any local or national organization/club related to your hobby? If yes, please share the name and benefits of belonging.
Not at this time. But I am working towards joining NAPO which is the National Association of Professional Organizers.
Include links for your website, Etsy store, Facebook page, other social media, etc. so others can buy or contact you.

Any other information that you would like to share?
You asked the question, how did I get good at this.
Well, although doing it helped me to hone my skills, loving it is even more important.
I would rather upcycle an old something that one person sees as trash into a treasure for someone else, or organize a space, or redesign a room than to do anything else.
It is truly my passion.
